Music For Unity, in cooperation with the National Association of Composers, USA Los Angeles Chapter (NACUSA-LA) and the All Armenian Student Association (All-ASA), presents the Opening Ceremony Concert of the 2026 International Composition Competition.
Featuring six original works:
- The Dance of the Mountains by Karen Ananyan
- Ergang (Grinding Wheat) by Vahan Grigoryan
- Gnishik Ascent by Amy Jerman
- Dances of Circles and Shapes by John Mackay
- To My Friend by Alex Shapira
- Everflowing Distance by Samuel Sjostedt
Performed by:
- Garik Terzian (Cello)
- Dimitry Olevsky (Violin)
- Leon Thomasian (Piano)
- Shell Piano Trio (Trio)
- Kristina Davlatyan (Soprano)
Will also feature compositions by Deon Nielsen Price and Robert Amirkhanian. Reception to follow the concert.
